Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant at SPPA, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance team. You will collaborate with industry experts, work in a dynamic environment, and contribute to the success of a national security leader.

Qualifications & Key Competencies Required:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the accountant in various accounting functions.
  • Maintain day-to-day transactions on the accounting software (Navision).
  • Record and post supplier invoices.
  • Post bank transfers to supplier’s accounts.
  • Prepare costing for foreign purchases.
  • Post monthly Depreciation of Fixed Assets and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Post stock costs to the General Ledger.
  • Handle salary and related journals.
  • Post monthly recurring journal entries.
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations and involve in the treasury function.
  • Prepare VAT and Tax Deduction Source (TDS) and other statutory returns.
  • Preform various reconciliations (pension, medical and general insurance).
  • Review creditors’ and debtors’ ageing list.
  • Collaborate/ liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare and reconcile stock counts on a regular basis.
  • Perform checks on sales invoices.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and management information packs.
  • Perform other relevant duties as and when required.

Your Profile:

  • Partly qualified (ACA/ ACCA) or a finance Degree.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (preferably Navision would be advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills (English and French, both written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail.

Store Helper

Reports to Store Supervisor – Store Helper
This role primarily involves assisting the Storekeepers in managing inventory, organizing, and maintaining electronic security solutions equipment, as well as handling other items like uniforms for security guards.

Qualifications & Key Competencies Required:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Assistance:
  • Collaborate with Storekeepers in the accurate recording of incoming and outgoing electronic security solutions equipment and other store items.
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive inventory records and databases.
  1. Organizing and Maintenance:
  • Ensure systematic organization and maintenance of electronic security solutions equipment and other items within the store.
  • Implement effective shelving, stacking, and labeling practices for easy identification and retrieval.
  1. Issuing and Receiving Support:
  • Support Storekeepers in the issuance of electronic security solutions equipment and other store items to various departments within the company.
  • Assist in documenting returns and coordinating with relevant personnel.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Report any damaged or malfunctioning items promptly to the Storekeepers.
  1. Uniform Management:
  • Collaborate with the Storekeepers to manage the inventory of security guard uniforms.
  • Assist in issuing uniforms to security personnel and maintaining accurate records.
  1. Cleanliness and Organization:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Dispose of packaging materials and waste according to company policies.

Any cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Form 5.
  • Fluent in English and French.

  • Knowledge in store operations will be an advantage.

Sales Representative

Reports to Managing Director – Sales Representative
This is primarily a sales role for the company’s Electronic Security Solutions and Services with ongoing customer relationship management. You will be responsible for winning new business and ensuring customer’s return to the company when they need to update their security systems. Customer satisfaction is imperative.

Qualifications & Key Competencies Required:

Sales and Business Opportunities

  • Handle inbound product enquiries and seek out potential customers, arranging appointments to understand their needs and demonstrate the products and solutions
  • Identify advertising channels that will drive more inbound sales
  • Seek referrals for new customers from existing ones
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Remain up to date with industry trends at all times, be aware of competitors products and activities and make recommendations for improvement

Customer Service

  • Accompany customers through the sales process from start to end
  • Listen to customer requirements and present the company’s best-fit products and solutions in order to secure the sale and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers through regular telephone calls and/or email communications
  • Report customer feedback to management and make recommendations as to how service can be improved

Security Guards for Alarm Response Teams

Conduct regular and active patrols in designated regions; attend triggered alarms and intervene on clients’ premises as and when required according to security protocols set by the company.

Qualifications & Key Competencies Required:

  • Ability to read, understand and write both English and French
  • Clean and up to date Certificate of Character
  • Physically and mentally fit to work as security Guard
  • Experience as Security Guard would be a definite advantage
  • Valid Driving License Private Car (Manual Gear)


Security Guards for Guarding sites

Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and controlling access points; permitting entries.

Qualifications & Key Competencies Required:

  • Ability to read, understand and write both English and French
  • Clean and up to date Certificate of Character
  • Physically and mentally fit to work as security Guard
